Tournament Info for 17U Boys Grand Prix - Grand Prix
• Each team will be required to provide one athlete per match to act in the role of line judge, and one volunteer per match to act in the role of scorer/assistant scorer.
o Please see section 6.19 of the Youth Competitions Manual for the full policy
• Results are only tracked on www.timu.ca/ova
• There is no dedicated lunch break in the Grand Prix.
• Warm-up protocol will start immediately after the completion of the previous match. Warm ups will follow the 5-5-5 format.
• REMINDER: Teams are responsible for bringing their own medical supplies for the event. There will be Athletic Therapists on site to assist with taping/injury with athletes.
• Tie-breaking procedures for pool play ranking can be found in section 5.7 of the Youth Competitions Manual.
• The following protocols will be followed when seeding for the 2025 17U Boys Ontario Championships:
o Top 2 Points average from 17U Boys Regular Season events
o Post Bugarski Cup Rankings will be used to break all ties in Top 2 points average.
o Post-Bugarski Cup Rankings ae determined based on the following 6-step protocol:
Overall Points Average
Number of OVA events the team participated in the 17U Boys division
A team’s result in the most recent OVA event (Bugarski Cup) and working backwards to the first event of the season
A team’s results at the previous Ontario Championships
A team’s seeding going into the previous Ontario Championships
